Process

Process manifesto.

An operating document: how work is sequenced, coordinated, documented, and closed.

Operating document

How work is run.

The objective is stability: fewer surprises, fewer re-visits, clean decisions, and clean handoffs. When something changes, the change is documented before execution.

1. Pre-construction

Define reality first.

  • Scope boundaries written.
  • Constraints named (occupancy, access, hours, protection).
  • Decision chain established.
  • Long-leads and risk items flagged early.
2. Sequencing

Sequence before demolition.

  • Dependencies mapped.
  • Critical path protected.
  • Handoffs planned.
  • Closeout tasks scheduled.
3. Coordination

Trade control is the job.

  • Trades coordinated to the sequence.
  • Protection, staging, access rules enforced.
  • RFIs raised early and resolved in writing.
  • Quality checked at handoff points.
4. Documentation

Written beats remembered.

  • Daily notes on conditions and blockers.
  • Photo records at milestones and concealed work.
  • Changes documented before execution.
  • Turnover documents assembled as the job progresses.
